BACB and Professional Credentialing
The Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) credentials behavior analysts at two levels: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and the lower level Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA).
This course provides the necessary coursework for either BCBA or BCaBA eligibility, dependent on the degree that participants already hold (or will have completed independently by the end of this course). It is the responsibility of participants to meet the other requirements (degree and supervision).
The course content is organized into nine separate modules:
• Module-1: Concepts and Principles of Behaviour Analysis (45 hours)
• Module-2: Measurement and Experimental Design I (15 hours)
• Module-3: Introduction to Ethical and Professional Conduct (15 hours)
• Module-4: Behaviour Change Applications (45 hours)
• Module-5: Identification, Assessment, and Discretionary (45 hours)
• Module-6: Intervention and Implementation I (15 hours)
• Module-7: Measurement and Experimental Design II (30 hours)
• Module-8: Ethical and Professional Conduct (30 hours)
• Module-9: Intervention and Implementation II (30 hours)
The teaching of the modules occurs via sessions delivered in three-hour teaching blocks.
The complete course (all nine modules for BCBA certification) will consist of 90 separate sessions. Completing the first six modules only is required for BCaBA course eligibility and this will be comprised of 60 separate sessions. Four sessions will be taught per month in two consecutive days (probably weekends),for most months.Six sessions will be conduced in four months again in consecutives days (Friday to Sunday).Therefore, the BCBA coursework wil be completed in 21 months and BCaBA coursework in 17 months.
1. Three examinations will be administered: the first after six months, the second after 12 months, and one final examination at the end of the course for students completing modules 7-9. Participants will be required to pass each examination before proceeding further.
2. Three applied projects will enable participants to use methods taught in their regular work setting. These projects will be an essential part of this course because of the importance of the application of behaviour analysis rather than just accessing coursework related to the theory of the science. The first project, during the first six months of the course, will focus on increasing behaviour or developing a new skill. The second project, during the second six months of the course will concern reducing a problem behaviour following a functional analysis. The final project will be determined individually according to the needs, interests and experience of the participants, but only for those completing modules 7-9.
3. Participants will be required to meet passing criteria for the examinations and the projects to successfully complete the course.

• The minimum requirement for enrolment is a bachelor’s degree.
2. Experience requirement
• At least two years of professional experience using applied behaviour analysis (for those wishing to pursue BCBA certification), or
• The ability to be able to gain experience in a work setting whilst attending the course (for those wishing to pursue BCaBA certification)
Payment will be via bank transfer or credit card. Please note that if paying in monthly installments, three months must be paid for in advance at the beginning of the course, then month-to-month payment.
